AIM Independent Music Awards
The Association of Independent Music (AIM) is pleased to announce their fourth annual AIM Independent Music Awards for 2014, of which PPL is a proud sponsor.
Held at The Brewery in Clerkenwell on 2 September 2014, AIM is proud to honour a fantastic array of independent artists, labels and industry figures and delighted to welcome on board two fantastic new hosts for the 2014 awards, XFM's John Kennedy and BBC Radio 1's Alice Levine.
Once again, PPL sponsor the PPL Award for Most Played New Independent Act - an act will be honoured with this award based on the usage of their music, plus airplay on radio stations and television channels. Other categories for the 2014 awards include:

- Hardest Working Band or Artist
- Best Small Label
- Special Catalogue Release of the Year
- Golden Welly Award for Best Independent Festival
- Independent Video of the Year
- Indie Champion Award
- Best 'Difficult' Second Album

- Independent Album of the Year
- Independent Label of the Year
- Pioneer Award
- Outstanding Contribution to Music
Tickets for the ceremony are now sold out, but afterparty tickets are available on the AIM website for just £12 each.
The awards are voted for by an expert panel of judges from across the media and music industry, including representatives from Radio 1 and 1Xtra, 6Music, the NME, The Quietus, Rocksound, The Independent, Radio 2, Metro, Mixmag and Q magazine. Voting took place in May this year, and the nominees will be announced on 12th August 2014.
