Belfast Music Week's Music Industry Q&A
PPL are delighted to announce that our Performer Account Manager Dan Millington will join a panel of experts for an industry Q & A discussion on Thursday 14 November, as part of Belfast Music Week (11-17 November).
‘Music Industry Q & A’ is a free event taking place at Ulster Hall, Belfast's 'home of great rock music', and will offer the audience an insight into the inner workings of the music business from some of its most relevant people – from broadcasters to promoters and management to labels.
Dan will offer guidance and advice alongside a host of leading industry luminaries, including:
- Jen Long, Presenter, BBC Radio 1 Introducing (host)
- Ally McCrae, Presenter, BBC Radio 1 Introducing
- Nicole McNeilly, Grants Co-ordinator, PRS Foundation
- James Passmore, Radio Promotions and Record Label, Pluggedin PR / National Anthem Records
This Q & A is one of several sessions running between 13 – 15 November, covering a number of diverse subjects, including an insight into how artists can make their music pay, an understanding of how managers can better represent their bands visually and the alternatives that are available to musicians outside of the traditional major label route.
Speaking of the event, Dan said: “Belfast Music Week provides a great opportunity for local and international talent to showcase to industry and fans. Furthermore, it provides a great source of information via panels and workshops delivered by experts helping artists / management to move onto the next level.”
The Q & A is free to attend, but has limited spaces available, so if you're interested in attending you will need to register in advance.
