‘Is Technology The New Beatles?’: Think Tank Event
This seminar will shed light on what new technology fused with music is bringing to the industry.
Held between 6:30pm-9pm on Tuesday 16 September in Fyvie Hall (Regent Street, London), a range of companies who are working on next-generation technological and musical innovation will consider the future of music from its creation, performance, distribution and consumption through to fan interaction and crowd experiences.
The panel discussion will then explore what the future marriage of technology and music will look like - and what kind of children they might be expected to produce.
Which are the most positive trends and where are the biggest challenges? What forms of creativity will technology unleash for artists and bands and fans? And what are the implications for markets and businesses?
Speakers include author, entrepreneur and digital consultant Jeremy Silver, who will offer some introductory thoughts and then introduce Gerard Grech - Tech City UK; Keith Harris - MusicTank Chair / Director of Performer Affairs, PPL/ Keith Harris Music Ltd (pictured); Ben Dawson - Immersive Album; Uwe Maass – Musion; Adam Place - nu desine; Jean-Baptiste Thiebaut – ROLI; Rafe Offer - Sofar Sounds, with others to be confirmed.
