The Great Escape presents the UK’s leading music business convention, bringing together thousands of music industry practitioners for three days of insight sessions, panels, conversations, networking and parties every May, in Brighton.
With its hub in the centre of Brighton, the convention runs alongside The Great Escape showcase festival, Europe’s leading festival for new music, which presents 450 artists from all over the world in 30+ venues across the city.
PPL and PRS for Music will be supporting The Great Escape (Thursday 19 - 21 May) this year. Here is where we will be:
Thursday 19th May
CMU Insights @ The Great Escape, "Reality check – who needs to play ball, and why would they?"
Time: 4:15pm – 5pm
PPL panelist: Mark Douglas, Chief Technology Officer
With visions outlined and ambitions expressed, let’s have a reality check. What hurdles does the music community need to cross to make any of this a reality? What stakeholders would need to play ball? And why would they bother? We apply a little cynicism to the debate, and then quickly seek out the solutions. Joining the discussion are Mediaclarity’s Jeremy Silver, Believe Digital’s Stephen King, PPL’s Mark Douglas and IP consultant Amanda Harcourt.
