Once again PPL is sponsoring the Classical Award at the 2014 O2 Silver Clef Awards, taking place on Friday 4 July at London’s Hilton, Park Lane. T

he star-studded annual event recognises outstanding musical talent whilst raising money for Nordoff Robbins, the national specialist music charity that uses music to transform the lives of vulnerable children and adults.

This year, choirmaster Gareth Malone has been honoured with the PPL Classical Award. Other winners include Pharrell Williams who will be presented with the Raymond Weil International Award, Paloma Faith who will be presented with the Royal Albert Hall Best British Act Award, and Giorgio Moroder who will receive the American Express Innovation Award

Past award recipients have included U2, the Rolling Stones, Ozzy Osborne, Sir Paul McCartney, The Who, Coldplay and Kaiser Chiefs.

The O2 Silver Clef Awards is now the jewel in the Nordoff Robbins fundraising crown having raised nearly £9 million for the charity since its launch in 1976.
