The Music Industry Trusts Award

PPL is proud to be a sponsor of the 2013 Music Industry Trusts (MITS) Award which will be presented on Monday 4th November at a gala dinner in aid of Nordoff Robbins and the BRIT Trust.

The MITS Award is a true recognition of achievement and generosity in the British music business. This year, the recipient of this prestigious award will be Annie Lennox in recognition of her outstanding contribution to British music as an acclaimed artist and songwriter, having been a recipient of eight BRIT Awards, four Ivor Novello Awards and four Grammys, with over 80 million records sold worldwide.  Annie will also be recognised for her tireless charity work, having supported numerous HIV charities and championed many humanitarian causes through the years.

The Music Industry Trusts Award, now in its 22nd year, has raised over £4.3
million for Nordoff Robbins and the BRIT Trust. It has earned its respected
place in the entertainment industry due to the great names that have
held this honour, including: Sir George Martin, Ahmet Ertegun, Sir Elton
John and Bernie Taupin, John Barry, Michael Parkinson, Lord Andrew
Lloyd Webber, Sir Tom Jones, Kylie Minogue and Jools Holland. The
Award was founded to recognise outstanding achievement in the UK
music industry as well as benefiting music charity Nordoff Robbins and the BRIT Trust.
