PPL Nominated for Three Gongs at the UK Employee Engagement Awards

Music licensing company, PPL, for the third year running is celebrating being named a Finalist in the 2016 UK Employee Engagement Awards in no fewer than three categories.

The organisation’s People and Organisational Development Department – which manages HR, Facilities, Quality and Business Change – will be going for gold at the only global dedicated employee engagement awards ceremony, which takes place at Wembley Stadium on 26th January 2017. The Awards aim to provide a platform to recognise excellence in employee engagement that inspires action and drives the industry and the employee experience forward. 

The PPL team is a contender in the Customer Engagement, Internal Communications and Employee Engagement – Small to Medium Business categories. Following a thorough internal review, a number of initiatives have been implemented within PPL.  Amongst these is new branding for employee communications and a dedicated staff newsletter – Pulse – as well as quarterly events for its 300 staff to share company news, introduce new recruits and involve PPL’s employees in the development of company strategy. 

Commenting on being named a Finalist, Kate Reilly, PPL Director of People and Organisational Development, said,

PPL has listened to its employees and used this insight to make changes, all of which have led to measurable increases in overall customer satisfaction and the engagement of our employees.”

The Customer Engagement Award will focus on the use of new and innovative ways to engage with customers and delivering on customer satisfaction through employee engagement; whilst the Internal Communications Award will be presented to the company which has gone to considerable lengths to improve internal communications. The third gong up for grabs, the Employee Engagement Award, will go to an organisation that demonstrates the most compelling and holistic approach to strategy for engaging their workforce.

The news follows PPL’s Member Services team reaching the finals of this year’s UK Business in the Customer Centric Organisation (process) category. PPL's entry highlighted a number of tangible improvements delivered for its members, through the implementation of a quality management system as a part of its ongoing Member Experience programme.
