Performer Director election at PPL APM
Two candidates stand in Performer Director election at PPL Annual Performer Meeting.
This year’s PPL Annual Performer Meeting (APM) is being held at Rich Mix, 35-47 Bethnal Green Road, London, E1 6LA on Wednesday 26 November 2014 for Eligible Performers (i.e. those registered with PPL who received a PPL performer payment in 2012 and/or 2013).
Under PPL's Articles of Association, each year the longest serving Elected Performer Director(s) must retire from office by rotation and there must be an election for the position(s). The retiring director(s) may stand for re-election. Eligible Performers have the opportunity to nominate candidates for election, and, in order to be considered, a prospective candidate must receive at least ten nominations from Eligible Performers. The nomination process has now closed and PPL is pleased to confirm the list of candidates.
This year there is one Elected Performer Director position to be elected, and two candidates are standing for that position.
Those candidates are Ashley Mason and Gerald Newson (who is the Elected Performer Director retiring by rotation and who is standing for re-election).
Both candidates have submitted written election statements which can be viewed and downloaded here.
The successful candidate will sit on both the PPL Performer Board and the main PPL Board.
The election will take place at the APM, and shall be voted on by Eligible Performers. If an Eligible Performer is unable to attend the APM, but still wishes to vote for one of the candidates, they should use the Proxy form which accompanied the APM 2014 Notice.
Performers are welcome to contact firstname.lastname@example.org (quoting their PPL ID) with any queries about the APM.
