Performer Board Chairman Gerald Newson to stand for re-election.

It is announced today that the sixth PPL Annual Performer Meeting (APM) will be held on the afternoon of Wednesday 21 November at The Gibson Guitar Studio, Rathbone Street, London W1. It is the first time that the APM has taken place at this well known music venue.

Under PPL's Articles of Association, each year one of the Elected Performer Directors must retire from office by rotation and there must be an election for that position. The retiring director may stand for re-election.

This year, current board member and Chairman of the PPL Performer Board, Gerald Newson will be standing for re-election on the PPL Performer Board.

There will be an address from PPL Chief Executive Officer, Peter Leathem and presentations by key members of PPL's Executive Management Team.

This will be Peter's first address as Chief Executive Officer at the APM having taken over from Fran Nevrkla in January 2012 who remains as Chairman of PPL.

Those performers eligible to attend this invitation only meeting will be contacted in early October. This will include details of the process for nominating election candidates. The full list of candidates standing for the Elected Performer Director position will be confirmed and published in early November.
