PPL had a stand at the Northern Restaurant & Bar Show, held 12-13 March at Manchester Central.

This provided a chance to raise awareness of the need for a music licence and allowed local businesses in the hospitality sector to meet PPL.

Former Coronation Street actress Beverley Callard - one the most famous landladies in the country thanks to her stint as publican Liz McDonald in the famous Rover's Return - visited the PPL stand for an hour on Monday 12 March to help promote the value of music.

PPL also hosted a pub quiz night at Corbieres in Manchester on Monday 12 March. Over 80 people took part in the night hosted by Manchester favourite Terry Christian and featured a series of tough questions about the Manchester music scene. The successful team 'Cook Pass Babtridge' (from Irwin Mitchell and DAC Beachcroft) won £100 worth of iTunes vouchers with additional spot prizes on the night.
